2021 Spring / Summer Release We are so excited to announce both our New Release Wines and our New Wine Tasting Room in San Francisco! As many of you may know, Treasure Island is going through a redevelopment, and we were affected. Unfortunately, we had to close our tasting room on Treasure Island, but we were able to join a tasting room in San Francisco proper -- Winery Collective. We are excited to be able to be a part of Winery Collective so that you can continue to enjoy our wines in San Francisco! We have a number of new release wines to share with you including our North Coast Pinot Noir, L'Imaginaire Grenache, and Petris Vineyard Carneros Syrahs (both the Durell and Bien Nacido clones). We are also releasing two of our most popular wines -- our Mélange Maison and L'Etranger "The Stranger." These wines are all available on-line at http://www.viewinery.com and, if you are worried about shipping wine during the summer heat, check out our Discounted Next-Day Air shipping option. We will be pouring some of our new release wines this coming Sunday, June 27th at our New Release & Wine Club Pick Up Event at our new tasting room -- Winery Collective. Announcing Our New Winery Tasting Room Winery Collective 485 Jefferson Street San Francisco, CA 94109 Open Daily: 1:00pm to 8:00pm We have partnered with the Winery Collective, San Francisco's Wine Tasting Room, to be the new VIE Winery tasting room. Winery Collective represents several local wineries and will be pouring and selling VIE Winery wines. Although there will not be an exclusive VIE Winery wine tasting flight, you will be able to enjoy several of our wines on their tasting menu and by the glass including our several of our popular Syrahs and Melange Maision. Check out our new Tasting Room New Release Wines 2017 Pinot Noir, North Coast Our 2017 North Coast Pinot Noir exhibits dark cherry notes in glass with characteristics of bacon meat, black cherry, blueberry and spicy cardamom. Succulent and silky, it has a thickness on entry that settles to reveal bright, integrated acidity. This wine can be enjoyed today and for the next 5-7 years. Order Now 2016 L'Etranger "The Stranger" 60% Zinfandel, 35% Syrah and 5% Petite Sirah. This wine combines the spicy peppery flavors and up-front brambleberry and red cherry, with green pepper-corn and cassis, and full mid-palate bringing elegant and dark cherry fruit in the finish, with hints of coffee and toffee in the finish. Order Now Mélange Maison VI Although the Mélange Maison VI is designed to be an every-day wine, this is a serious wine with dark black fruits, white pepper, and a hint of white flowers on the nose. This wine explodes with blackberry and blueberry fruit in the mouth and dives into black currants, creamy oak, sweet cherries, and dried herbs in the finish. Order Now 2017 L'Imaginaire Grenache On the nose, this wine exhibits dark raspberry and cranberry fruit with perfumed aromas of potpourri, savory spices, and a subtle hint of licorice. The light and elegant, yet focused, palate carries several layers of red berry and dark cherry fruit integrated with notes of black pepper, smoked meat, and ash, reminiscent of a summer campfire. This multi-layered palate continues on to a focused, concentrated finish which continues to evolve in the mouth with lingering red and black fruit with a hint of tobacco. Order Now 2017 Petris Vineyard Syrah, Bien Nacido Clone Our 2017 Petris Vineyard Bien Nacido Clone Syrah is a single clone selection from the southern end of the vineyard. With tight clusters and small berries, the Bien Nacido Clone Syrah exhibits the cool climate characteristics of this Los Carneros vineyard. In the nose, there is red berry with faint blue fruit notes and subtle herbs. On the palate there is cherry red fruit with pepper spices with an earthy, lean finish with mineral notes. Order Now 2017 Petris Vineyard Syrah, Durell Clone Our 2017 Petris Vineyard Durell Clone Syrah is a single clone selection from the northern end of the vineyard. This block produces grapes with loose clusters and soft skins producing very even ripening grapes. The dark skins produce a dark red wine in the glass with earthly, leathery notes in the nose. The wine delivers a rich, full bodied and almost jammy quality on the palate with rich dark berry flavors that carry into a long-smooth finish.
